Sun, sand and safari with the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
Flying direct to Colombo in Sri Lanka, we will overnight in a hotel before taking off again for the Maldives. Staying in the Southern-most atoll of Gan, we will stay in the delightful Equator Village Resort where we will see Manta Rays and all manner of marine animals in crystal clear, warm waters.
Unlike many resorts in the Maldives, we have chosen this one as it is not isolated and restricted to having just a single resort on the one atoll with little chance of experiencing Maldivian culture. You can simply hop on your bike or walk to experience life and culture outside of the resort. If you have some time, view this video which gives a really good overview of Addu Atoll: https://youtu.be/sv3cMpirAaI
You can visit a national park, the ancient mosque of Hulhumeedhoo and more.
After 10 dives seeing vibrant corals, turtles, the famous wreck of the British Loyalty and more we will travel back to Australia via Sri Lanka where you can choose to extend your dive trip and see some wonderful attractions such as the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala, the Dambulla Rock Temple and the Minneriya National Park.
