Start or continue your underwater journey!

The first step to exploring the underwater world is to become an Open Water Diver.

Then, once you have become a diver you may want to further your knowledge and experience by doing other dive courses and furthering your education. We partner with Scubabo Dive in Queenscliff, and provide Open Water through to Instructor training.

A course is made up of 3 modules, theory, pool training and open water training.

Theory

The home study component of the theory is done online, at your convenience and at your pace.  It is then reviewed in a classroom environment with your Instructor.

Pool Training

The most important phase of your training is the pool training and by having both classroom and Victoria’s only purpose built dive training pool located within the same building, time wasted in travelling to and from the pool is a thing of the past.   Now you’re able to spend more time underwater than ever before learning the skills that will make you a safe and confident diver. Learning to dive happens in the water, not behind the wheel of the car…

Open Water Training

Scubabo Dive is two minutes from the dive boats as well as a variety of protected shore dive locations… Again, less time wasted, more time completing your Open Water diving, all that equates to the overall outcome of being a better, safer diver…  There is NO SUBSTITUTE FOR IN WATER EXPERIENCE.

Cost and time are 2 critical factors to be taken into consideration when doing a dive course in Victoria.

Accommodation

Scubabo Dive can also provide overnight onsite accommodation in the Historic Cobb and Co Lodge in Queenscliff.

A day of shore diving and a day of boat diving from the popular diver training sites – Rye pier, Blairgowrie Pier, Flinders Pier and Portsea (pick up point for the boat dives) will see a Melbourne based dive student spend up to 6 hours driving up and back over 2 days (not counting time driving to and from the pool!).

In that process you can spend up to potentially $120 on fuel and $30 on parking fees.  For a lot less time and money, you can stay on site, overnight in quality, comfortable, clean accommodation.  Less time wasted, more money stays in your pocket, you get to spend more time underwater where it matters, it therefore doesn’t make much sense Not to stay over!  You can book your stay at the same time as your course by calling (03) 5258 1188
