The cold weather has finally hit and taken an immediate impact on water temperatures, with nights dropping down to the low single figures, ice on the windscreen and crunchy lawn, the bay has dropped by 3 degrees in the last 3 weeks.
This has immediately impacted on participation on guided club dives… nobody has fun when the cold takes over the brain and all you want to do is to get out, get dry, get warm and get a hot cuppa in your belly!
Guided club dives will run through to June 14 and will cease up until the end of August following the return of our Nusa Penida and Vanuatu dive trips, we’ll be kicking back in basically at the start of Spring!
It was great to see dive club members jumping at the opportunity to save dollars on dive toys at our stocktake sale, wetsuits have been particularly popular going off faster than a bucket of prawns in the sun! Our promise to provide prior notification to dive club members was once again validated with several sizes of wetsuits being purchased and unfortunately no longer available to the general public by the time the sale was opened up to the public. The sale is set to run through to 25 June 2025 or whilst stock lasts.
