Sad but true… Winter has decided to prolong its stay in Melbourne… But that hasn’t deterred the enthusiasm of dive club members still turning out week-in week-out and partaking on our guided club dives.

As we move to the end of the month, we’re super excited to announce some incredibly exiting opportunities for our members for 2025.

Firstly, our membership renewals for 2025 have gone live with the renewal link to be sent via email (check your inbox!).

The 2025 Dive Club membership brings you more benefits than ever before and a chance to win yourself a $2,599 SCUBAPRO G3 – 60th Anniversary dive computer.  *Details in your newsletter

Secondly, Dive travel and the launch of an incredible opportunity to join us in 2026 diving the Maldives with an optional extension in Sri Lanka.  A resort based trip catering to both the diver and non diver with a fully inclusive package that covers everything (incl. beverages!).  This trip offers unsurpassed value for money and an incredible opportunity to tick off yet another bucket list opportunity and destination.  All details and booking form here: https://scubaculture.com.au/etn/maldives-srilanka/

Why is this dive trip different from the others?  Let me list the reasons:

  • Visit 2 countries in 1 dive trip by extending to Sri Lanka on the way home
  • A direct flight from Melbourne to Colombo (Sri Lanka) and then a quick 1.5 hour flight to the atoll of Addu in The Maldives
  • A fully inclusive stay at The Equator Resort in Gan with all meals, alcohol, soft drinks, afternoon tea, use of bikes, an extra boat snorkel trip per day & 10 boat dives
  • Unlike many resorts in the Maldives, this one is not isolated with little chance of experiencing Maldivian culture.  You can simply hop on your bike or walk to experience life and culture outside of the resort.  You can visit a national park, the ancient mosque of Hulhumeedhoo and more.  If you have some time, view this video which gives a really good overview of Addu Atoll:  https://youtu.be/sv3cMpirAaI
  • Go to other near bye atolls connected by lovely causeways, such as Maradhoo and Feydhoo.  With their white-sandy beaches, charming streets and lively markets. Taste local treats, check out handicraft stalls, and enjoy the easy-going island vibe as you engage with friendly locals.
  • See elephants and other safari animals in their native environment in Sri Lanka
  • Experience their rich history & culture when you visit the famed Sigiriya Rock Fortress & Dambulla Cave Rock Temple.
