August SCUBA news

With a third of our PNG dive crew only returning to Australia on the 27 July following their extension walking the Kokoda track, we look forward to a reunion of all PNG divers and non divers to have a big catch up and to hear all about the Kokoda adventure.
Our return from the Gili Islands and PNG has also had an immediate impact on the bookings for our 2019 international dive trips with our trip to Palau attracting a flood of bookings and now being close to capacity so if considering Palau, you will need to move fast.  Outside of that, we also have a trip to Vanuatu in 2019 diving the 2 main islands, Port Villa staying at Hideaway and Espiritu Santo staying at the Aore Island Resort and at $2845, the value for money of this dive trip is sensational with air fares, transfers, accommodation, breakfasts, dives, air, tanks, weights, guides and other bonus freebies thrown in.  Our Vanuatu trip runs from 4 to 11 Sept 2019 giving you the opportunity to plan and pay it off bit by bit on a payment plan of your choice.

Interesting to hear that the long range weather predictions indicate that El Nino is back!  It’s predicted that August temperatures will be substantially higher than average temperatures with less rain expected for that month than usual.  This could in-turn mean a faster acceleration of our water temperatures back to a more acceptable level than the current 10 degrees!  (Fingers crossed!)
